Wow! 'Countries have no friends', said the former
German chancellor Dr. Kohl in his Mémoires, 'they only have their
interests.' Some of that seems lost and forgotten in Europe, where
so-called "eurocrats" continue to promote their illusion of a
unified Europe, at the expense of and against the free will of most of
its population. Except for Germany that continues its ways, also at the
expense of other people. And so does Brzezinski (sr.) who represents US
foreign policies. It is sheer opportunism combined with bigotry in times
where the western 'culture' is drowning in secular decadence and
ignorance.
There was much made in the media about a new report that claims modern day temperatures are the highest in 5,000 years. Moreover, the investigators assert that this century's temperature rise is “unprecedented,” echoing the assertions of climate change alarmists over the past 30 years. Various news outlets seized upon this report as final proof that the world is headed for a hot steamy demise because of human greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. There are, however, a number of problems with that assertion. First among them is the methodology used to generate the global temperature history and the comparison of proxy data with instrument data from recent times. This may be science but it is being used to deceive the public into believing that anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is a crisis on an unprecedented scale.

both the Heartland Institute and the European Institute for Climate and Energy (EIKE). Singer's speech is titled "Checking the Evidence for Man-Made Global Warming." [15]
In the January 2010 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine, Singer was profiled* in the top 17 "polluters and deniers who are derailing efforts to curb global warming."

I think he meant that my fledgling scepticism about dangerous anthropogenic global warming (DAGW) was pointless, for as a cartoonist I was as unqualified to assess the science as he was.

The implication was that all who are untrained in "climate science" are required to accept the scientific and political authority of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and its local colleagues such as the CSIRO: the scientific establishment.
I found my friend's advice baffling. Anyone familiar with the judicial process knows the gravest issues of liberty and fortune are often determined by a jury selected from the public. Expert witnesses can give evidence in support of either side at a trial. The judge must rule on questions of admissibility, but in the end it is the jury that decides which scientific evidence is to be believed.
In the climate debate, the only "judge" is the scientific method - a testable hypothesis followed by factual or experimental challenge.
ABC broadcast Martin Durkin's provocative documentary, The Great Global Warming Swindle, against the outraged objections of many prominent alarmists. How interesting. The science was "settled", the debate was said to be over and no further discussion was required. Any media professional should have been aroused by such an excited censorship campaign
