Report: Russia removes military personnel from Syria
Russia has withdrawn all its military personnel from Syria and
left its strategic Tartus naval centre unstaffed because of the
escalating security threat in the war-torn country, the Vedomosti daily

Syria has lashed out at Saudi leaders, accusing them of being
behind the country’s more than two-year armed uprising, according to
statements published on Wednesday. “The violence in Syria is being
caused by Saudi arms, Saudi money and terrorists linked to Saudi

A Human Rights Watch (HRW) report on Wednesday accused
Lebanese police of torturing and raping drugs users, prostitutes and
gays in their custody. HRW said it had found cases of police putting
detainees in stress positions for hours, dislocating shoulders, breaking
