Gossip drifting over to me ears from inside the Beltway: apparently Taipei
is signaling Washington privately that despite what it is publicly saying,
the Ma Administration does not want to become part of the TPP. One wonders
what private protocols have been negotiated between Beijing and Taipei over

being trumpeted in the press with their total of 100,000+ dead in Syria.
Here are their figures:

- 2,015 defectors from government forces [who were now fighting with the

Several news outlets have printed an article by Darko Bandic and Dusan
Stojanovic of the the Associated Press entitled Little joy in Croatia as it
enters the EU.
The article says that support for EU membership is at 60%, which is not as
high as might be expected. Ten years ago, when the country first sought
entry to the EU that figure stood at 85%. Moreover, even that 60% figure
masks the fact than only 49% of Croatians believe their country will gain

Today, just after noon, the Senate broke the last-ditch attempt by the GOP

Alberta is facing three immediate and potentially lasting problems - the
prospects of frequent, severe floods; the likelihood of extended periods of
severe drought; and the Carbon Bubble that hangs over the provincial

Wednesday, the price of silver dropped another 5 percent. As I write this,
it is sitting at $18.55 an ounce. On Wednesday it hit a low that had not
been seen in three years. Overall, the price of silver has declined by 34

charged solar wind that will hit the Earth's magnetic field square on.
Solar winds are a continuous stream of ions, charged particles. The coronal
hole allows the particles to escape instead of looping back down to the

Researchers at North Carolina State University have not only demonstrated
the ability to remotely control cockroaches with an electronic implant but
have now shown the ability to control the roaches with a Microsoft Kinect.
“Our goal is to be able to guide these roaches as efficiently as possible,
and our work with Kinect is helping us do that,” said Dr. Alper Bozkurt of
NCSU in a news release today.

Gossip drifting over to me ears from inside the Beltway: apparently Taipei
is signaling Washington privately that despite what it is publicly saying,
the Ma Administration does not want to become part of the TPP. One wonders

Several news outlets have printed an article by Darko Bandic and Dusan
Stojanovic of the the Associated Press entitled Little joy in Croatia as it
enters the EU.
The article says that support for EU membership is at 60%, which is not as
high as might be expected. Ten years ago, when the country first sought
entry to the EU that figure stood at 85%. Moreover, even that 60% figure
masks the fact than only 49% of Croatians believe their country will gain

Now, Alberta, About That Pesky Carbon Bubble
Alberta is facing three immediate and potentially lasting problems - the
prospects of frequent, severe floods; the likelihood of extended periods of
severe drought; and the Carbon Bubble that hangs over the provincial
economy like a Sword of Damocles.
By some accounts, the Carbon Bubble dilemma worsened yesterday with
president Obama's climate change speech. He said that approval of the

Wednesday, the price of silver dropped another 5 percent. As I write this,
it is sitting at $18.55 an ounce. On Wednesday it hit a low that had not
been seen in three years. Overall, the price of silver has declined by 34
percent this quarter. That is the largest quarterly move in the price of

DHS Report Points To Armageddon Scenario

In 2009 the DHS commissioned a report into the threats posed by space
weather. The fact that they did this is not surprising, we would all prefer

A massive coronal hole straddling the Sun’s equator is sending out a highly
charged solar wind that will hit the Earth's magnetic field square on.
Solar winds are a continuous stream of ions, charged particles. The coronal
hole allows the particles to escape instead of looping back down to the

Researchers at North Carolina State University have not only demonstrated
the ability to remotely control cockroaches with an electronic implant but
have now shown the ability to control the roaches with a Microsoft Kinect.
“Our goal is to be able to guide these roaches as efficiently as possible,
and our work with Kinect is helping us do that,” said Dr. Alper Bozkurt of
NCSU in a news release today.

It's time for another update on the state of The Land, using Google Earth
