19-year-old Texan Justin Carter, who has been jailed since March over a
sarcastic Facebook comment, has had his $500,000 bond posted by an
anonymous donor.
According to MSNBC, the bail was made by the “anonymous good Samaritan” on
Thursday, July 11th.

I think this is extremely important in our understanding of a whole range
of skills were reaction becomes preternatural. Several clocks are
integrated but this can also be selected for. The quick lesson is that key
skills need to be made autonomous.

Just Three Pints of Beer a Week
I am not entirely sure that the conclusions are fully warranted, but it
clear that sustaining high level brain function and chronic beer
consumption are seriously contra indicated. The more serious problem is
all this is also tied into our social behavior and sexual protocols. So it
is not a case of simply changing habits for the majority of people.

Today the U.N. claims that "5000 people a month" are dying in Syria. As I
have before, I have to demonstrate why I find this claim utterly
non-credible. 5000/month would be 167 every single day. Now we don't know
what the standard deviation might be, but we have to assume it would be
reasonable large, which would mean that some days would be much lower,
while on other days, we could easily expect 300 or more to be killed in a
single day, if the 5000/month were to be believable.

Mixed Feelings on the Senate Deal
What I'm happiest about is that the mainstream of Senate reform discussion
seems now, much more than it was a few yeas ago, to recognize that there
are differences between the filibuster on legislation, on judicial
nominations, and on executive branch nominations. Moreover, whether by
design or not, we've wound up with some recognition that exec branch
nomination filibusters are at least highly problematic.
I am disappointed that supermajority confirmation for exec branch

Southern Man offers his deepest condolences to the families of those

In my opinion, he didn't leak anything that was new, shocking or
startling. I liked that he brought attention to the government spying on
all of our lives. The intrusion is despicable. That is good. Raising
awareness is always good.

shopping for "school supplies" and to dinner at Charleston's.

The West Virginia legislature has been advised to step up environmental
monitoring at natural gas drilling sites, after a recent study linked a
potential carcinogen to that process, according a public broadcasting
report.
The study was conducted by Chairman of the Department of Occupational and
Environmental Health at West Virginia University, Michael McCawley, who
checked air quality at seven drilling sites over four months. The sites
were evaluated at several stages of drilling, from set-up to fracking to
