They want to use the terror attack in Ottawa as a repeat of 9 / 11 followed by so called national security and all that has done for us .. The name of the game is control and they have been around for thousands of years perfecting this.

    This bill — which was getting heavy opposition until the Parliament Hill shooting — would make it possible for police, and more importantly, Canadian intelligence services, such as CSEC and CSIS, to track citizens they believe may commit a “terror attack”; and arrest people without committing any crimes, because they think they might commit a terrorist attack — and since over this last week they have considered the apparent shooting of one man and a hit-and-run both “terrorist attacks,” it’s easy to see how loose the term is. If a hit-and-run is an act of terror, anything could be.

    “Under existing provisions, leaving Canada to take part in terrorism abroad is a criminal offence. In addition, police have the power to make a preventive arrest of anyone suspected of planning a terrorist attack.” —Huffington Post, Oct. 24th, 2014.

    The convenience of these attacks last week for the Harper Government to completely reverse the rights of Canadians by turning the country into a police state is almost overwhelming. The idea of “preventative arrests” is in direct contradiction of the freedoms every single Canadian was born with. So, for those who don’t know the rights these new bills — C-13 and this anti-terrorism act — are stripping from them, let’s take a look at a few of the provisions written into the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms:

    Now, by Canadian law, in order for an arrest to take place, first a person must be suspected of committing a crime. This is explicitly stated as number 9 in Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms:

    “9. Everyone has the right not to be arbitrarily detained or imprisoned.”
    In other words. A cop can’t say, “That guy looks like a criminal!” and arrest him. Aside from being profiling, this would be illegal. A person must commit a crime to be detained or else the detention is unjust and arbitrary. By using terrorism as an excuse — just like the US government did after 911 with the Patriot Act — the tyrannical Harper Government will happily remove this birthright from all Canadians, and then it will be legal to get arrested because the government or police thinks you might commit a crime. As long as they deem you a possible terrorist — a term we know the elasticity of — you’re fair game.

    So let’s picture your neighbour really hates your guts. All he — or she — has to do is call the cops with a convincing story that they think you’re a terrorist, and the police can come arrest you, and then detain you without a trial.
    Which brings us to right 11(d), which states in plain English — or French, depending on if you’re from a few places in Quebec — that Canadian citizens, even after arrest, are considered innocent until proven guilty:

    “(d) to be presumed innocent until proven guilty according to law in a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal.”

    To be perfectly articulate with you, this means it must be proven that a Canadian has committed a crime beyond a reasonable doubt before they can be considered a criminal and put in jail. Harper’s lackies are going to make it so Canadian citizens are guilty until proven innocent. Not only does this take a very important right away, but it also completely reverses the logic of it, too. Think about that: guilty until proven innocent. How does one prove their innocence when they never committed a crime to be guilty of? They can’t.

    Now, let’s be honest. Who do you think these “terrorists” are going to be? Are they going to be arresting white, middle-class, middle-aged men and women thought to be jihadists? Or do you think they will be targeting Muslims? Let’s be honest:

    “15. (1) Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.”

    Just as America went on racially driven arrest rampages in 2003 — and ever since — now Canadian authorities will be able to racially profile, religiously profile, and arrest those who don’t look right to them. This very crucial freedom to any multicultural democracy disappears too.

    Another part of this bill will enable law enforcement to search houses, cars, persons, freeze assets and seize property from suspected terrorists without a warrant. Does this infringe on our personal rights as Canadians? Yes! That’s one of the most important ones:

    “8. Everyone has the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure.”

    Say goodbye to this freedom, too. From now on the Harper Government wants to make sure they can raid your house by surprise, night or day, without a court order, machine guns drawn, and worst of all without knocking, because they think you may commit a hit-and-run, I mean a terrorist attack. Same thing, right?
    This is no joke, though, not in the least. This is high stakes we’re playing with now. I don’t think Canadians understand the ramifications of the bills being shot like cannons through our parliamentary system — cannons aimed at the average, friendly Canadian taxpayer. If these despots get away with this it won’t be downhill from there; it will be a confirmation that we have hit a rock bottom, Hitler-Germany-like society. A totalitarian civilization.

    Just listen to the terminology casually used by Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney in a radio interview last night:

    “The challenges are the thresholds — the thresholds that will allow either preventive arrest, or charges that lead to sentences, or more simple operations… So what the prime minister has asked is for us to review in an accelerated manner the different mechanisms that are offered to police to ensure everyone’s security…. When we tabled the Combating Terrorism Act, we activated some capability for our law enforcement to do some [preventive arrests]… What we are realizing now is there are some thresholds that would need adjustment so that it is more practical and more functional to intervene.”
    Intervene? Intervene on who? Are they really trying to convince the world that Canada is a cesspool of terrorists? And what’s more, is the world and — more importantly — are Canadians actually buying it? Can we not see that these measures are being implemented on a global scale right now? This is happening in Britain, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, and we know for sure it already happened in America 12 years ago.
