Even Though American Interference May Have Created It, ISIS Will Have To Be Destroyed

Manifesto Joe at Manifesto Joe's Texas Blues - 2 minutes ago
By Manifesto Joe The Islamo-fascists of ISIS, I have no doubt, are essentially a creation of Western, and particularly American, interference in the Middle East. I confess to being somewhat "neo-isolationist" to the extent that I regard anti-U.S. "blowback" as the major cause of our troubles in that region now. I am thoroughly sympathetic with President Obama's reluctance to put American "boots on the ground" in the Mideast, especially since most Americans (not me) got suckered into an expensive and needless war there back in 2003. But the terrorism that we've seen in the past seve... more »

Patrick Pelloux revealed on national radio on Saturday that the French military conducted a “multi-site” military exercise in Paris on the same day as the Paris attacks on November 13. Transcript: “As luck would have it, in the morning at the Paris SAMU (EMT), a multi-site attack exercise had been planned.” “So we were prepared. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has cryptically offered to “share intelligence” about the Paris attacks with France, in his first public statement since the terror attacks on Friday night. “Israel possesses intelligence; we aren’t a marginal player in this field, and the information we have we share with France and with other relevant countries, not just since yesterday,” he said. “This is an important part of cooperation against the terrorism of IS and the terrorism of radical Islam in general.” Timesofisrael.com reports: “I’ve instructed Israel’s security and intelligen... more »

ISIS Statement On Paris Attacks: “France, More Is Yet To Come”

ISIS have issued a statement claiming responsibility for the Paris attacks, referring to Parisians as “crusaders” and referring to Paris as a city of “prostitution and vice”. They warn of more attacks in France if they continue their “crusader campaign”, in reference to France’s role in the air strikes against ISIS in both Syria and Iraq. Thoughts on The Mahabharata and the Iliad

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 11 hours ago
I have recently read this book and it stirred observations. This is a book length presentation of the central narrative of the Mahabharata. It powerfully reminded me of the Iliad which is a comparable Bronze Age narrative and certain aspects stand out. I apply the phrase bronze Age here because the whole style applies to a scripture that was read aloud or recited from memory to a large assembly gathered to be entertained and educated as well. This assembly was largely illiterate and that hugely explains a lot of structure and approach. To put this in perspective, the text... more »

.This structure though interesting appears to date far too late to be a part of the global pyramid culture which ended around 1159 BC , but continued on in Mesoamerica almost to the time of contact. Yet it demonstrates that such tombs were made again and again anywhere it was practical. Thus the drive to build huge structures likely was ego driven in the end as often suggested. *[image: Credit: Flinton University]* This is a pleasant surprise. The problem with mercury is that it has been tossed into river systems simply because manufacturers had no solution. What this means though is that industry can now tackle the problem at source and be done with it. It also looks to be an easy fix as well. Chancellor Angela Merkel Hours Before The Paris Attacks: 'I'm Fighting For My Vision'

War News Updates Editor at War News Updates - 21 hours ago
Paris was hit by multiple attacks on Friday evening. (File photo of Angela Merkel) *Reuters:* Merkel, under fire over refugees, says 'I'm fighting for my vision' Chancellor Angela Merkel put up a spirited defense of her leadership on Friday, vowing to "fight for my vision" of how to deal with the refugee crisis that has stretched Germany's resources and damaged her standing. Infighting in Merkel's ruling coalition and a unilateral decision by her interior minister on asylum policy have raised questions about the chancellor's leadership, though coalition sources have dismissed spe... more »

French fire brigade members aid an injured individual near the Bataclan concert hall following fatal shootings in Paris *Mark Steyn, Steyn Online*: *The Barbarians Are Inside, And There Are No Gates* As I write, Paris is under curfew for the first time since the German occupation, and the death toll from the multiple attacks stands at 158, the vast majority of them slaughtered during a concert at the Bataclan theatre, a delightful bit of 19th century Chinoiserie on the boulevard Voltaire. Terror in Paris

The horrifying events in Paris tonight are almost beyond comprehension. While we don’t know much more than the specific facts on the ground–coordinated attacks, suicide bombers at Le Stade de France, drive-by shootings at a Cambodian restaurant, the massacre at Bataclan, at least 150 are dead–I’ve been thinking all day about this still unfolding tragedy. Wisconsin Voters Overwhelmingly Prefer Russ Feingold To GOP Extremist Ron Johnson

DownWithTyranny at DownWithTyranny! - 1 day ago
I've been meaning to get around to this all week. It's another poll-- but not one about Trump or Hillary or Dr. Ben. Republicans have been trying to rile up their brain-dead base with horrible stories of terrorists coming to get them. How many times in their now boring debates have you heard talk about Christians being crucified and innocents being beheaded? But this is starting to wear thin, even to the poor deluded souls who admit that they're Republicans. The poll, by Marist for McClatchy, shows that "[w]hen it comes to danger, voters are far more afraid of gun violence than t... more »

BWorld 25, Feed in tariff means expensive electricity

Nonoy Oplas at Government and Taxes - 1 day ago
* This is my article in BusinessWorld yesterday, November 13. Expensive electricity and unstable power supply are two big concerns for many sectors and businesses in the Philippines. These problems have adverse economic and social impact for the people. Electricity-intensive sectors like hotels, malls and manufacturing are forced to raise the prices of their products and services. Many local government units cut on the use of street lights. When many streets are dark at night, there are more crimes and road accidents that happen, and it is the poor who are likely to be victimized. ... more »
