Remembering La Loche
Friday was a travel day for me so after nearly 12 hours on a bus to Calgary I was a bit blurry-eyed when I checked in to my hotel. It was there I happened to pass by a television in the hotel lobby and hear about a shooting in Saskatchewan. Initially, it didn't really register. To begin, just a couple of items I found interesting. One is on the conference at Davos, which, I think, was a big step toward corporate fascism. Then there's a solid piece on CBC about Trump and Palin – who are not the harmless comics that some think they are. One of antiquity’s best known artifacts, the burial mask of Tutankhamen, the ancient Egyptian boy king, was broken and then hastily put back together using superglue at the Cairo museum. US Nuclear ICBM Damaged By ‘Mishap Crew’ In Silo
A US nuclear-armed intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) was damaged in its silo by three airmen in 2014, according to the US Air Force. Ted Cruz and Donald Trump look like good presidential candidates to me on the GOP side. Cruz recently announced that he and his family were the examples of the millions of Americans who lost their health insurance because of ObamaCare.
